Kerala- From tea plantations and a spice village to a beach resort

We were in this magical state and four cities for the past week or so and even though each part is a little different, the sights are something I will never forget. On the tea plantation we were on top of a mountain overlooking the tea plants and had the whole hotel to ourselves which was amazing. Pictures show this place better than words ever will, so I'll stop trying to describe it and just show through my photography skills.

After our tea plantation we headed to our next destination a place called the spice village, which was another beautiful property where the rooms were like cabins (just like in the tea plantation). Here, we finished with our second war game about greenhouse gas emission mitigation between different countries which was really exciting because the rest of the trip would be vacation and the way we started that was by riding some elephants!

We took a tour by boat of a tiger reserve, but didn't see any tigers..

Our next stop was the house boat, which was a one night stay in the backwaters of Kerala. We got to see the sunset and spend some time relaxing on the boat, which we all appreciated especially after the long day the day before researching and negotiating on our class war game.

After that we headed to our last stop in this state: the Leela, an amazing beachside resort with an infinity pool facing where the sun sets! There were yoga classes, beach volleyball and both the beach and pool, which I all took advantage of! On the second day, I even played some volleyball and cut my nose open after one of my team members elbowed me in the nose and now I have on Mickey Mouse band-aids.. On our last night at this hotel we even got to experience the onset of the summer monsoon while we ate dinner at a nearby restaurant!
